Project Overview

This project focused on capturing the energy, personality and creative culture of Dubrek Studios, a grassroots music venue, rehearsal space and recording studio supporting local talent and artists. Two complimentary edits were produced:

- A higher energy promo showcasing live moments, interaction and atmosphere.

- A studio focussed piece highlighting recording sessions, creative process and behind-the-scenes details.

Together, the edits present Dubrek not just as a venue, but as a hub for collaboration, experimentation and independent music culture.

Edit 1 - Live Energy & Atmosphere

The Approach: This edit was designed to feel immersive and energetic, reflecting the are, lived-in atmosphere of Dubrek’s communal and live spaces. Filming prioritised candid moments - performers mid set, audience interaction, movement and expressions - rather than staged shots.

Handheld motion, dynamic framing and rhythm driven cuts were used to mirror the feel of a live session, allowing the edit to flow naturally with the music and environment.

The goal was to make viewers feel like they were inside the space rather than watching from the outside.

The Result

The final piece delivers a fast-paced, character led promo suited for social platforms and event promotion. It captures the excitement of live performance while reinforcing Dubrek’s identity as an authentic, artist and community driven venue.

Edit 2 - Studios & Recording Showcase

The studio edit took a more considered, observational approach, focusing on the creative process behind the music. Filming centred around recording sessions, technical detail, and quieter moments of concentration and collaboration.

Close-ups of equipment, textures, hands-on work, and natural interactions were balanced with wider shots of the space to create a cinematic but grounded feel. The edit was paced more deliberately, allowing moments to breathe and emphasising craft over spectacle.

The Result

This piece presents Dubrek as a professional yet accessible recording environment — a space where ideas are developed, refined, and brought to life. The final edit works as a studio showcase for artists considering rehearsal or recording, while reinforcing the credibility and creative depth of the brand.
