Project Overview

A highlights film capturing the energy, diversity and atmosphere of the BCUSU cultural Fashion Show - an event celebrating cultural expression, identity and creativity through fashion and performance.

Filmed live during the show, the focus was on documenting both the runway moments and the wider audience experience, creating a visual record that reflects the scale, colour and emotion of the event.

The Approach

This project was shot with a documentary-style mindset, prioritising authentic moments over staged coverage. Dynamic movement, natural reactions and rhythm-driven edits were used to mirror the flow of the show itself.

The final edit balances wide establishing shots with close up details - textures, fabrics, expressions and movement - allowing the audience to feel present within the space rather than simply watching from a distance.

The Result

A high-energy highlight film designed for social and promotional use, showcasing the cultural significance of the event while remaining accessible, engaging and visually striking.

The finished piece serves both as a celebration of the participants and as a strong promotional asset for future BCUSU events.
